Army ROTC at the University of Georgia is committed to training and developing outstanding future leaders.
The Bulldog Battalion includes three companies at UGA (host school) and one company
at Georgia Gwinnett College (partner school) in Lawrenceville, GA.
The UGA Army ROTC program is structured as an elective which can be taken along with
the required classes from any of the more than 100 majors offered at UGA and Georgia
Gwinnett College (GGC). Army ROTC falls under the Office of the Vice President for Instruction at the University of Georgia.
Military Science classes focus on equipping student with the tools, training, and experience that will be
necessary to succeed in any competitive environment. The classes cover management,
leadership, ethics, tactics, law, military history, and Army society. During classes
and field training, students learn first-hand what it takes to lead others, motivate groups and how
to conduct missions as an officer in the Army.
